Frequently Asked Questions

What is a “Pop-Up” Wedding?

When you search the internet for “pop-up wedding” you will get various answers.  Some define it as a type of elopement and others define it as a wedding orchestrated in a way that resembles a flash mob. We define a “Pop-Up” Wedding as a small wedding that feels like a larger event wedding with a smaller guest list and in a shorter time-frame.

When thinking about a wedding many of us imagine an “Event Wedding” which includes a large guest list, renting a venue for the entire day, scheduling a rehearsal, and hiring a long list of vendors (a Planner, a Baker, a DJ, a Photographer, a Caterer, a Florist, and an Officiant).  These events take half the day to set up with the ceremony itself is the minor part of the event with most of the focus being on the reception following the ceremony.

Our Mobile Chapel gives you many of the components of an “Event Wedding” but designed for a smaller guest list and a shorter time-frame.

What are the components included with your Mobile Chapel All Inclusive "Pop-Up" Wedding Service?

Our team sets up a traditional wedding altar and guest seating.  We provide, cake, flowers, a celebration toast, and photography.  Please understand that this is an all-inclusive package offered by us, the package options can be added to and enhanced but not eliminated.

What is the time-frame for your “Pop-Up” Weddings?

The entire event lasts about an hour and 30 minutes, not including our set-up and clean-up time.

        15 Min                        Guest Arrival

        15 Min                        Ceremony

15-30 Min                  Celebration Toast and Cake

30 Min                        Couple’s Mini Session with Hush Photography

How long have you been performing ceremonies?

We have been doing marriage ceremonies since 2011, but just recently added the Mobile Chapel All-Inclusive “Pop-Up” Wedding Service.

Where do you perform ceremonies?

Our Mobile Chapel All-Inclusive “Pop-Up” Wedding service is only available for ceremonies in Boise.  However, our Mobile Officiant service area is always growing as we add more fabulous officiants to our team. Currently we serve Southwest Idaho and parts of Eastern Oregon.

Will there be a rehearsal?

No.  This is a short event with a very small processional.  Our skilled Officiants will give you instructions before the ceremony to ensure a beautiful event.

Can we personalize our ceremony?

Yes – in fact, we encourage it! Your officiant will ask you questions and get to know you so they can draft a ceremony that is reflective of your personalities, beliefs, and relationship. After the draft is complete, your officiant will email you a copy for you to edit if you wish to do so. We want your ceremony to be just right and are happy to work with you on the draft until it’s perfect.

How do we book the Mobile Chapel All Inclusive “Pop-Up” Wedding service?

During your consultation your officiant will gather information that will allow them to create a customer contract.  Signing the contract and paying your deposit books your officiant.  Please notify your officiant within 10 days if you decide not to sign the contract so that we can cancel it and make your officiant available for another couple who may want to get married on the same date.

What if I have to change my start time or ceremony date?

While we try to be as flexible as possible in accommodating changes, we cannot guarantee our availability for a date or time change. Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to change your wedding date or time so we can try to find a solution for you.

Do you allow pictures during the ceremony?

We have skilled photographers taking photos during the event and recommend that your guests simply enjoying being there for you during the ceremony.

We’re already legally married (but no one knows). Can you still perform a ceremony?

Yes, we do vow renewal ceremonies for a lot of couples each year, especially military couples. No one will know the difference between this type of Vow Renewal Ceremony and a traditional wedding ceremony, unless you choose to tell them!
